You will be responsible for negotiating and drafting contracts with Samsara's federal, state, and local Public Sector customers as well as our business partners and vendors. Your role includes improving and scaling Public Sector contracting workflows and implementing and maintaining Public Sector business partnerships.This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Area and NYC Metro Area.You should apply if:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate RFP responses, contracts, and subcontracts with Public Sector customers.
  • Partner with the Public Sector Sales, Sales Operations, and RFP teams.
  • Manage, build, and implement contract management tools and workflows.
  • Provide legal advice on contract matters and inbound contract-related requests.
  • Manage and maintain contract templates and repositories.
  • Build strong relationships and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist Legal team with various projects on an as-needed basis.
  • Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles as we scale globally.Minimum requirements for the role:
    • 2+ years of contracts management and contracts experience, including related to government contracts.
    • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other federal, state, and local acquisition policies.
    • Excellent contracting drafting and negotiation skills.
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills for clear communication.
    • Ability to build, develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
    • A high degree of professional integrity, ethics and sound judgment.
    • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
    • Membership in at least one U.S. state bar.An ideal candidate also has:
      • Experience at a government procurement agency and/or established federal contractor.
      • Experience with drafting and negotiating software license agreements.
      • Experience at a tech company.The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below.
