Senior Java Architect (Remote)Cognizant's Digital EngineeringOur practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior Java Architect with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications.Our Developers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users.Our developers are agile and retrospective, and not afraid to identify what we're doing wrong, so we can fix it, so we can improve on it. Above all, we judge success by the success of our team and the happiness of our customers.Location: Irving, TX, Tampa FL, Basking Bridge NJ, Alpharetta GASalary and Other Compensation:Applications will be accepted until February 24th, 2025.The annual salary for this position is between $81,000 - $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.Note: Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States.Requirements

• Collaborate with technology managers and the design team to discuss the goals and needs of the company.
• Examine and define current architecture systems.
• Design scalable architecture systems for Java-based applications.
• Identify the hardware and software infrastructure needs to accommodate the company's architectural goals.
• Troubleshoot design flaws, system bottlenecks, and code quality issues.
• Perform validation tests to ensure the flexibility and scalability of the Java environment.
• Conduct system performance tests.
• Complete systems reports.Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, Design Patterns, OpenShift, MQ, and system design.
  • Ability to come up with appropriate solutions with pros and cons.
  • BFS payment experience.
  • Previous work experience in an architect role.
  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture.
  • Experience with the design and implementation of software networks.
  • Experience with software design and web programming.
  • High-level project management skills.
