Job Description:
A company is looking for an Emergency Medicine Coder
(Remote).
Key Responsibilities
Assign ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes and CPT-4 procedure codes to
patient records
Review and code a minimum of 35 charts per hour
Report coding problems or irregularities to the Medical Coding
Manager
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Previous knowledge of medical terminology
Preferably six months of experience in medical coding
Ability to perform manual dexterity tasks for eight hours a day
Must have good attention span
Ability to work in a well-lighted and well-vented environment
